The finalists in the 2007 International Songwriting Competition have been announced and Nashville based artist/songwriter Natalie Howard has been nominated with 'Paint Me Blue' in the 'Country' and 'Performance' categories. Another song 'Emotional Day' was a semi-finalist.
With over US$150,000 in cash and prizes to be won, the ISC reported that over 15,000 entries from 100 countries were received representing the depth and diversity of music worldwide.
The ISC 2007 Judging Panel includes the Legendary Country artist Loretta Lynn, Country Artist Craig Morgan, Grammy Winner Nelly Furtado, to name a few, as well as Music Industry Professionals.
The public can listen and vote for 'Paint Me Blue' in the ISC People's Voice Award which is separate to the Songwriting Competition. Voting is allowed once a day up to the 29th February by visiting http://www.songwritingcompetition.com/PVWelcome2007.htm
