Natalies's Highlights for 2006
The holiday season is nearly upon us and Natalie would like to wish her fans and supporters the very best Xmas and holiday season. Natalie has had an amazing last 12 months with several songs from her debut album 'Yesterday's Makeup' achieving success.
The good news started in December when she won the 2006 IMA(Independent
Music Awards) Country Song of the Year with 'I Don't Want To Live Like That'
and the Musicoz CMC Best Country Artist Award with 'I Can't'.
The latter song has now been released to radio and is presently #7 on Kix
Hot Country Top 20 Countdown and is climbing the Top 100 Country Hits.
'The Long Night',a #1 video clip on the Country Music Channel Top 30
Countdown, was a winner in the ISC (International Songwriting Competition) gaining an Honorable Mention in the Country category as well as being voted
#8 in the People's Voice Awards of the ISC. Listeners recently voted it into
the Top 10 Countdown of the online country radio station PureCountry.com.
Thanks to the support from her fans and the music industry Natalie achieved Finalist nominations in the 2006 Qld Gold Medallion Awards 'Female Vocalist of the Year' with her song 'You Never Knew Me', as well as Cooper's Golden Saddle Award and the 2007 Country Music People's Choice Awards 'Most Promisiong Future Star'.
'You Never Knew Me', hit #1 on the CMC Top 30 Countdown and was a Country Track Top 30 hit. It was included in the 2006 The Best of Country Music Channel double CD and DVD released by EMI Australia in August. 'Is It Just Me' (modern country mixed with pop and rock styles) reached #4 on TMN Country Hot 30 National Country Airplay and #8 on The Country Tracks Top 30 Chart making this her most successful Australian radio single. Since the release of her 'self titled' album this year in the USA and Canada by Go Grrrl Records Natalie has been on radio tour through many States. Her debut single 'I Don't Want To Live Like That' made the Music Row Chart and the video clip aired on GAC (Great American Country) and CMT.com. She performed on 'Words & Music:The Showcase for Nashville's Songwriters' where she was interviewed by veteran entertainment reporter Harry Chapman.
She was also interviewed on 'The Women Of Country With Michelle Wright' in the 'Women To Watch For' segment which profiles Country Music's newest rising female artists and performed during Tin Pan South week at 12th & Porter with Jennifer Hanson, Jimmy Wayne, James Dean Hicks and Carolyn Dawn Johnson.
CMA Music Festival (Fan Fair) was fantastic with Natalie's first fan signings at the GAC TV and Y'all Magazine booths. She was interviewed by American Broadcasting Corp (ABC) TV and performed at the Wildhorse Saloon, 'The Circle' at the Country Music Hall of Fame, Bluebird Cafe, The Tin Roof, Chevy Sports Zone Stage and other great Nashville venues. She was invited to Florida for the 11th Annual Keywest Songwriters Festival where she performed with other premier songwriters and was filmed by GAC for their TV program Country Music Across America.
'CMA Close Up', the official publication of the Country Music Association
featured Natalie in the Debut Artist Spotlight section of their
August/September issue.
In September, Natalie was a featured artist in the 'Who's New' section of
the world's most read country music publication, "Country Weekly".
